Topper Dawn
manufactured by Topper

Dawn is Pippa's cousin and US predecessor available from 1970–1972.

Although she had a comparatively short run, she still has a vast catalogue of outfits, accessories, friends and boyfriends.

Coming off the tail end of the 1960s, Dawn outfits are groovy mod for daywear, salacious minis for attending happenings and a line of spectacular ballgowns for high class socialising.

Dawn is directly related to Pippa in that several of her outfits were later used as Pippa outfits. These included many early Pippa fashions (mainly mini dresses) and also all of Pippa's Rio Collection. They're shiny, they're spangly.

Also, the first issue of Pete is actually a re-packaged Gary. The early Pete dolls do not have Palitoy embossed on their posterior, and he's also better looking than Palitoy's later effort.
